I'm confused.....HELP!

I'm new here and trying to get my numbers straight. Yesterday, I plugged in my numbers on fitnessfrog and according to that my TDEE is 2,279. So, 15% less is 1,937 which is what I followed yesterday.

But a post by someone suggested fat2fitradio.com and get your body fat % and then put that number into the calculator on scoobysworkshop.com and chose the Katch-McArdle Research Model. When I did that my calorie suggestion for weight loss was 1,573.

Now I'm not sure which number to follow....HELP!! So many websites, so much information my brain hurts!!!

Was 1,573 your BMR? That seems way, way, way too low. The scooby calculator I use does not ask for body fat percentage. It's here. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

What are your stats (age, weight, height, activity level, fat %).

I just re-worked my stats and chose "light activity" since the most I can do is walk due to a spine injury. These are my stats:

    Age-40
    Height-62"
    Weight-165
    Fat %-44.5
    Light activity
    BMR-1470
    TDEE-2,021
    Calorie goal-1,718

Did I figure it out right? I guess I'm just not used to being able to eat more than 1,200 calories....it just feels wrong!

    This is the one I use below because I was told it was more accurate with BF% added to it;

This is what I do to get my cut numbers. First I go to this website fat2fitradio.com to get my BF% (use the military calculator) and then I go to http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ to get my cut #'s.

On the Scooby website enter in your stat and in step# 8 choose Katch-McArdle and in step# 8A enter in your BF% and then eat the calories listed in the chart that say "Daily calories based on goal in step 6".

But whichever site you choose I think consistency is the key.:flowerforyou:

You're numbers are right. TDEE-15% = 1718, BMR = 1470. So eat 1700 per day. if you exercise more than 248 calories (1718-1470), eat until your NET is at least 1470.

Yes, it may seem high, but it will allow you to eat this way for the rest of your life.

    Hope that helps.
