I have never been one to get sick a lot. At most, I have one cold a year and even then the symptoms are very mild and the worst of it only lasts a few days. I am always pretty healthy. Right now I am about half way through my 4th week of paleo and over the past week or so I have had what feels like the beginning of a cold, but it never progresses into one. Normally when I am about to get sick I get this swollen feeling in my sinuses. It will only last a couple of days before going away and turning into other cold symptoms. I have had that feeling off and on for about a week and a half.... but it hasn't progresses into anything else. It went away and then came back during my run last night and has been bugging me all day today. I don't feel tired or sluggish.... it's just this swollen sinus thing right at the top of the back of my mouth behind my nose.

Maybe the timing is just a coincidence, but could it be my new diet? Perhaps my body is purging something? Has anyone else experienced this?

Is there a vitamin that I have accidently cut out? I didn't eat that great to begin with, so I can't imagine that I am worse off eating Primal!!!

It might just be allergies, honestly. A lot of people who don't usually have allergies are having allergy symptoms this year, and I personally have experienced horrible symptoms. I can't even go outside without my skin itching so bad it feels like it's burning, just because of the grass pollen.

Maybe..... but my symptoms are atypical of allergies. My nasal passages are completely clear and I have no itchy watery eyes, etc. No sneezing..... I don't know..... I guess it's possible.

Are you having wide differences in tempature where you live - I get the not quite stuffy feeling with occassional headaches when the weather fluctuates - where I live we have had an interesting spring with it being 60 degrees for a few days then upper 80's and then back down...

I get that swelling you're talking about when I'm getting a sinus infection, or when my allergies are atrocious. It's been swollen and sore there for a week, because I've been out gardening. I'm also running a low-grade fever. All allergies. My nose isn't running much at all.

I'm not saying that what you're experiencing definitely IS allergies. Just that it could be.

It could be. I've been doing lots of yard work lately. The temps have been steady though. Maybe I have just been breathing in too much dust from working in the yard.

Do you have a neti pot? You could try flushing your sinuses a couple of times a day and see if that helps. And gargle salt water.
