Hey All,

I'm new to MFP and was originally given a calorie goal of 1420. I was starving and the weight wasn't coming off. I was so confused because as large as I am, I thought that if I cut calories that drastically, the weight would literally fall off.
I stumbled upon the EM2WL group and joined. Since joining (3 or 4 days ago), I have already lost 2 pounds! I'm eating 2300+ calories and feeling great already.
So, if you're on the fence about doing this, stop hesitating and do it already!

    Welcome on board! This process does work, however it requires more determination/willpower almost than eating a 1200 cal diet. I say this because for a while it seems everyone just accepted the fact that you have to starve yourself to lose weight.

    When you start eating more, not only do you have your self telling you your eating too much, you have other people telling you as well. Its a big hump to get over, one that I am going through, but will be better in the end.
