Im Anna. I will be 33 tomorrow! I live just North of Atlanta, and am working towards toning. I have a bit of a unique situation, in which I dislocated my knee and fractured my femur back in December. As a result, I also have a bit of nerve damage in the joint, so working out is requiring some alterations. For the last 2 months I have been using the eliptical, which has been great. I can pick up speed and resistance, but don't have the impact on my knees that I experience on the treadmill. Although I do hope to be alternating between the eliptical and treadmill with in a month.
My goal isn't exactly to lose weight, but I do have a few stubborn pounds that I want to shed. My goal is more to be toned and build my strength and flexibility back up.

Welcome, and happy birthday (tomorrow)!
I can relate to the nerve damage. I've got nerve damage in my ankle from a series of injuries... a bad sprain, and then a belly dancer's sword was dropped on it! That last injury was three years ago, and I still get twinges sometimes. It took me over a year before I was able to do yoga again - my ankle just couldn't take many of the positions. Pilates was a godsend during that time. The mat Pilates class I took didn't put any pressure on my ankle, and it stretched my spine so I went from 5'2" to 5'3"! So have patience with your knee, because nerves take a loooong time to heal. It's wonderful that you've found a way to get your cardio that doesn't stress it.0
