BMI

So, my BMI is currently about 22/23. My goal BMI is about 17.5 (please don't tell me it's impossible- i've done it before- or unhealthy-i know.) Would this "eating more to weigh less" still help me? I'm sorry but it seems to defy all logic, but everyone seems to be doing so well, so I am curious.

Eating more to weigh less is basic math- just figure out your TDEE and take 15% off that. Chow down on the remainder.

Your body goals are your business but the basic math will stand up. Closer you get you might need to tweak a bit here and there- try 10% deficit instead of 15, or start doing bulk/cut cycles although it sounds like you're not interested in muscle- only scale weight so bulk/cut won't really help you there.

If you become more interested in bodyfat percentage then I'd look into incorporating bulk and cut- can't really speak more to that because I don't know your motivation and concerns.

In a nutshell- it's just math and it works to lose weight.
