Hi everyone,
So I have a question about fats. I know there are good and bad ones and that the nuts are good ones, but too much of a good thing is bad. So, how much fat should one have in their diet? How do you balance a diet like this? I'm new to it and would appreciate ANY information at all! Thanks so much! :)

I tend to eat over my calories but on my vegetarian diet with lots of nuts and avocado, I often still don't go over the amount of fat MFP allows me (except on weekends) . . .

I can tell you from my son's experience that if you eat an entire can of cashews, you will poop orange oil!

You can check out my food diary. It's public. I eat a ton of food and too many sweets, but I think not eating animal products (exception for some social situations) keeps my fat intake in check. I eat cashews (not many) every day and also have walnuts, pecans, almonds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, and chia seeds on a regular basis. I eat a half an avocado almost every day (a whole one yesterday!). I also enjoy coconut oil and olive oil. Maybe because of the portion size, going over on my fat intake as defined by MFP has not been a problem.
