How was everyone's 3/4-day weekend? Mine was alright.

Friday and Saturday went fishing with Sugar Lips. Yesterday we watched the Coca Cola 600, and today we went and played golf.

We're still not bf/gf. Although when I went over to his place yesterday, he was talking on the phone to one of his buddies from his last base. He asked him where he was getting stationed after training is done here, and he said, "I don't know.. maybe South Carolina, or I might try to stay here in Biloxi as an instructor." So this has me wondering.. if we're still together is he going to try and get orders to stay here because of us? *shrugs* He keeps hinting like he wants ME to be the one to ask where we stand.. but he's the one that's taking it super slow. I've given plenty of obvious hints, including telling him flat out on Saturday that I completely deleted my POF account. Oh well.

How was everyone else's weekend?

    SL is confusing!

My weekend was low key. Visited my grandfather in the hospital a couple times, but he recovered remarkably well and went home Sunday. Just relaxed and cleaned the rest of the weekend and hung out with my niece a little.

Why don't you just ask him, point blank?

My weekend was ok. Went to Atlanta for the day yesterday, went shopping for an upcoming date, but didn't get to talk to the lady much.

My weekend was really quiet. Worked Saturday, hung out with the family on Sunday, and worked all day today.

Not much here, went to a weight loss mtg for people within 10 lb from goal. Went to the zoo yesterday and stayed home today, movies, homework and cleaning... and eating...

My friend invited her cute single cousin to their bbq this weekend so I could meet her, but I got caught in a thunderstorm on my motorcycle and never made it out.
I also think I broke a girls heart by being honest with her about my feelings. Luckily she texted me tonight and thanked me for being honest so I'm in the clear for now.
Overall it was a pretty crappy weekend for my love life, but also the most active in a long time so I guess that's a good sign.

I am in the process of re-arranging my apartment so that took up a good chunk of my weekend. But I also went hiking by myself at a near by national park. I was then able to meet some interesting people on the trail. It probably won't grow to any friendships or dates but it beats being 100% by one's self. :-)

I'm pretty sure I had things to do at work this weekend - but my supervisor never called me in. Oh well, too late to worry about that now!

Just got to work and found out that I have to take leave earlier than I expected (starting at lunch today and lasting for two weeks--I was originally going to start next Monday for two weeks). I'm actually kinda happy cuz I'm really tired, and I can get caught up on homework before I go home so I'm not stressing out about that!

Woot. Now I just have to fart around on the Internet at my desk until lunch. I already have my entire day planned out, food wise. Then gonna hit up some Crossfit this afternoon!

I met three lovely ladies this weekend. One of them approached me at the bar and we hit it off and ended up chatting until like 5 am. Probably won't turn into anything serious though since she's going to Japan for a year in a few months. Then I met up with somebody from Match, I think it went well, I had a good time and she later told me I was very cute and funny. Then last night I met up with a friend of a friend, she's sort of been pursuing me for a while but I ended up asking her out. She was really cool, she has kids though so I'm not sure how I feel about that.

So I'd say it was a good weekend to be a single guy. I also have another Match date on Thursday, but she also said she'd only be around for the summer and then she'll be out of the country so she's not looking for anything serious, I guess that's cool unless we really hit it off.

My weekend was busy busy busy
Saturday started off at the gym followed by shopping for a white t-shirt and khaki shorts which I needed for Sunday followed by a baseball game with about 20 people from the meet up group I play kickball and softball with.

Sunday was the Coca-Cola 600. I was one of the voluneteers that held up "The Worlds Largest American Flag" during pre-race cermemonies. Which is why I had to wear a white t-shirt and khaki shorts. I had to run to wal-mart and buy my friends family white t-shirts before the race because even though we knew on Thursday that we needed it, she didn't look until Sunday morning to see if all the kids had them. We had to be at the track by 3pm, I get to her house at 12:45 and her husband and oldest are mowing the lawn, and the youngest were just getting into the shower. UMMMMMMM traffic is horrible and even though they only live 20 mins from the track on normal days it takes an hour+ on race day. I ended up leaving and going to the track by myself early because my type A was going nuts watching the family get ready. They showed up at 2:59 which means we were regulated to under the flag duty, the worse spot which no one wants, as the flag is heavy and it is hot in the baking sun. For the next 3 hours it is a waiting game for us to go out, every one else is getting instructions other then our group. We bake in the sun for awhile and I thank god I don't have kids as I want to beat hers. After flag duty we go up in the stands and watch the race. Sigh they are one of those groups that likes to leave the race with 100 laps to go to beat the traffic. Let's just say I will not be going to a race with them again, as I am usually one of the people that will tailgate before and after the race and that did not happen here at all.

Monday was a lot calmer as I passed up on some BBQs and went to a baseball game by myself to watch the Twins AAA team which is in town. It was hot but I sat in the sun front row to cheer them on to their loss like the good fan that I am. Sometimes I prefer to go to the games by myself as it is much calmer and I can do my own thing.

    mine was random.

saw the avengers movie late friday night. liked it a lot!!!
saturday did a ton of yard work and laundry, then got a pedicure and my hair done, got home at like 7p and had a fever of 101.5.....
so, i crashed til 9am sunday
sunday i did nothing. i laid on the sofa and watched all of the last season of burn notice
monday i tried to do yard work, and it was hard. i could only do like 30 min at a time.
so, i ended up going to a memorial day event in town, then i got a manicure and a facial, and sat by the pool :-)

that was it for me this weekend.

    RE SL:
either he's content NOT labeling it, which some guys are. keeps things less serious more casual i guess?? or, he is waiting for YOU to bring it up...... maybe he's ok keeping things without labels as long as you appear to be ok too???? just a thought.......

Saturday I went to lunch with my friends and then they helped me change my tail lights. Then Saturday night went to my friend's 33rd birthday party which was a blast. Wild!!!! haha

Sunday I went to this event called Flavor Fest where you get to try all these wines for free. I got home and just crashed.

Yesterday went to a bbq at my cousin's. It was an awesome weekend. I didn't want it to end. But I go on vacation in 2 days so I'm ok with it.

***** Buff as far as SL goes... I think you should just ask him... it's 2012... go for it. :)

I had a great weekend............had a first date from POF on Saturday-we went to Six Flags, and had a blast--we went on every rollercoaster except the new one, because the line was soooo long and it was getting late, so we went and had a very late dinner. Then Sunday my cousins had a party that was supposed to be huge, turned out small, but was great that way.

    Now back to work............

I watched that race with SL! Haha, funny that you were there. That's one of the reasons why I like NASCAR--they're really patriotic and definitely respect the U.S. military forces.

As far as SL.. I don't want to ask him. I think his feelings are developing a lot more slowly than mine. I definitely think he likes me and enjoys my company, but I don't think he's even close to falling "in like" with me, or if he is he's hiding it well.

I won't see him much this week and then I'll be going home on leave, so I won't see him then either. We'll see if he misses me.

It's so weird spending time with him and then blowing off all these other dudes that are desperately trying to hang.

My friend's oldest (15 soon to be 16) is ROTC and he and his friend were talking to all the military guys at the track. I think pretty much all of Fort Brag was there. So many military boys and I couldn't flirt with one since I was with 2 big families it would have just looked strange.

As for SL maybe he doesn't want to put a label on it since you both are millitary and it sounds like he might be re-stationed soon. After you get back from leave I think you need to talk to him.

This was the last weekend I'll have my two girls until July so we had a bunch of kids over all weekend long. We have a big fire pit in our front yard and we got that going Sunday night - roasted hot dogs and had smores and watched the fireworks across the river. It was a pretty awesome weekend. I'm going to miss my girls like crazy.

I know I don't post often enough for you guys to really know me well or even remember but there were three guys that I was kind of either hanging out with or talking to.

Guy #1 is basically gone. So that's that.. .I'm sure he'll call when he comes back to town in a few months but I'll cross that bridge then.

Guy #2 I'm supposed to go out with tonight but really don't want to. He's a POF guy and he's so insecure that it drives me crazy. He literally wants to meet at a grocery store and see if I can pick him out of the crowd. WTF? He told me he did this once with a girl at a park and it took her 2 hours to find him. I just flat out told him if he did that I'd leave. Seriously? He's 42 - what the hell! Anyway.... I promised I'd meet him so I will, but I'm just not feeling it anymore.

Guy #3 - I'm totally smitten with this guy but he lives 2 hours away. However we have these epic conversations on the phone - like over 4 hours. We talk at least an hour every day and text throughout the day as well. I went out with him last Wednesday and I'm going to see him tomorrow. I'm excited but don't want to get my hopes up. He's so nice and we just click.

Oh, girls are just as burpy and farty... I'll tell you. My 13 year old is really, really petite and she is the most rank of all her friends. It's sick. I'm blaming her dad! LOL

I drove to Nashville on Friday to visit a friend. He got us into an underground poker game near Ft. Campbell, Ky where I won $300 off a few servicemen stationed there. (I felt bad taking money from enlisted guys over Memorial Day weekend. I'm thinking about donating it to DAV or AmVets.) Saturday, we worked out the I dealt for a Heads up poker game he arranged. I made $80 for 90 minutes of work. Saturday night we hung out with his neighbors playing Canasta. Sunday, I went for a run around this park near his house then we went to clean crawfish and deliver them for a boil. (He owns a crawfish supply company). I got my hands torn up by those damn claws like you can't imagine. Later we swam in his neighbors pool, BBQd and played Canasta. Monday was a two-mile run, lunch and then a long-*kitten* drive back to central Illinois.

    I am loving this date!!

Well lets see.. my weekend was filled with taking care of my grandmother. I did the cooking to insure she got in enough protein, etc. She finished a 72 hour fast at the hospital after a month of issues with her blood sugar (hypoglycemic). Did get in some swimming for two days I was there, and well my dog was not used to stairs (we have 3 stairs total at my house). Anything more than that he was afraid. Got him used to that, so every two hours to take him out, we took the stairs. At least I got a great work out while I was there.

Made it home on Monday, to a very frustrated cat, did laundry and my gentleman friend wanted to surprise me and came over, to which he just proved even more he is so not ready to be in a relationship. I am just really emtionally and mentally drained today. I came into work early so I can take gma to a follow up drs appt after work.

Needless to say I am ready for a vacation!!!

Ok so I learned a very valuable leason this weekend... When you do Burpies for the first time on thursday dancing til 5 am on Friday is not the best idea lol....

Well Navy wanted me to go to his house on friday night and spend the weekend cause he had his son and couldnt come out... I very politely explain that as attractive as he is I would not be comfortable spending the night with him til I got to know him better.... We're planning on going out sometime this week...
I ended up going out Friday night with FWB and some of my friends.. A guy friend of mine showed up to the bar drunk and tried to start stuff with FWB but nothing went down.. Saturdays BBQ got cancelled with Army boy cause everyone cancelled on him... Ended up at the bar with FWB again had a good time...

Went out last night and ran into a couple of friends ended up hanging out til 3 am.... I've noticed that beer seems to affect me more than liquor and I think its just cause I dont drink it as often...

TOnight Army is making me dinner before he leaves for 2 weeks... according to him I'm driving him crazy :blushing: and I'm supposed to hang with Navy sometime this week...

BTW FWB heard about my date with Navy the other night and to say the least he wasnt pleased lol.......But whatever because at this point hes just occuping space until I find someone else..... and these 2 both have potential

Jen - reading about your current escapades reminds me of the Army-Navy football game... just thought I'd throw that out there.

As for me - Mom came down and helped me move from my old leaky, dust-ridden house to a newer, clean, well-sealed private place. So much more comfortable now. Just need to get a washer and dryer in here... and a couple of bookshelves, and I think I'll be set.

No dating, obviously. Didn't even think about it much... have about convinced myself to stop trying for the next 3-6 months, til I get my health back in order. The end-of-semester stress + moving stress has added about 20 lbs back on that I didn't need. It'll come off pretty quickly, I'm confident... but I need to get comfortable in my own skin and in my independence again before I try dating.

Then again... that's a contributing factor to WHY I'm single to begin with... I keep putting other things ahead of a relationship.

Friday I took my son to the beach where he swam in the bay and played in the sand. Saturday we did the same in the morning and went to a cookout at night. I can't figure out why he won't swim in the pool during swim lessons but has no problem being neck deep in the bay. Weird kid.

Sunday a girlfriend and I went out and got a bit toasted. Monday I felt like poo but went to the pool with my friend and my mom anyway. Last night my "friend" was supposed to come over and I busted *kitten* cleaning my apartment just to have him get pulled over on the way to my house and then decide to go home. Needless to say, I was pissed. Especially because he lives around 5 minutes away. We are going to try to get together Thursday night. We shall see.
