What do you eat....

before and after running? Since I'm getting up at 5 am to run, I don't really eat anything before. However, I'd love some ideas (preferrably low cal) of what to eat afterwards. I typically eat breakfast at work around 8:30-ish...but definately need something before then if I workout in the mornings!

This morning I had a Chobani Green yogurt....was yummy but by the time I got to work, I was definately ready for breakfast!

    When I run in the mornings. I will have a glass of water before I head out. Once I come back I usually have cereal (cheerios, shredded wheat or oatmeal) and a banana. If I ended up being pressed for time (sometimes I get really into my runs and forget about everything else) I will make a multi grain english muffin with PB and eat it sandwich style.

    Mornings, I don't eat anything before I run, I just drink some water. When I come back I usually have yogurt and fruit.

    I usually run after work, around 6pm... Later in the day, I don't like to run on a completely empty stomach so I might have a protein bar or something an hour before, then get dinner immediately afterwards (meat and vegetables)

    Post-run I always drink a protein shake and usually eat a piece of fruit like a banana or tangelo.
