Straight to cut or maintanence?

Hi! before I joined the EM2WL group I had been eating 1200 calories a day. However, that was my first time actually trying a diet, and I only did 1200 cals a day for about 2 and a half weeks, then i started em2wl... So, since I was on a low calorie diet for such a short amount of time, and i have never been subjected to yo-yo dieting, is there really any need for me to go to maintenance? Or should going to my 15% cut be fine. Thanks for the help! =)

    If you have been on low calories for some time you should be eating TDEE for 6-8 weeks.

    Since you have not been doing that for a long time, I think it should be ok to go to TDEE-15%. But I am fairly new to the group as well. I am sure there are some people on here who can advice you better. That's just my thoughts on it.

    I'm kinda new here too, but I'd say going to -15% probably is fine! If things seem slow after a month you could try a "reset" at maintenance, but I don't see why you couldn't just jump in to the cut!
