Hi. I am trying to get my head round thge numbers for em2wl. Does anyone else use a fitbit? I got my tdee average for 4 weeks off the fitbit site and it is 2735. Taking off 15% takes me to a cut off 2324. What i dont understand is do i take into account the fitbit adjustment calories as would these already be included or do i ignore then when working out my net calories.

Tdee = 2735
cut = 2324
bmr =1400

So i input running etc into mfp which brings my net down.
I eat at 2324 unless my exercise calories are more than 924 but should that include fitbit adjustment

I hope i havnt confused people to much?

    Hi I use a fitbit and love it :love:

    I understand you dont need to input any excersise into MFP as Fitbit already does it for you.....

    For instance my TDEE according to Fitbit averages at 2050, my BMR is about 1342 (Fat2Fit) I have MFP set to 1729 macros set at 40/30/30 unless I burn MORE than 350 according to Fitbit then I eat 1729. If I burn more then I'll adjust so I net at least my BMR...

    Unless I'm mistaken let Fitbit do the work for you :drinker:

    whisperinghor thanks for the reply. I love my fitbit , very addictive. I log exercise such as 30ds and running on my fitness as i find fitbit doesnt always pick it up especially 30ds. All the rest i let fitbit work out

    I use a fitbit while I run or do my daily thing. But if I'm doing any kind of non-running exercise, fitbit comes off and heart rate monitor goes on, then I input my calories burned into MFP. fitbit doesn't really know how to calculate exercises that aren't based on the frequency or intensity of the steps you take.

    TDEE SHOULD include your fitbit adjustment.

    If you're using a fitbit...
    TDEE = BMR + fitbit adjustment + calories burned from extra exercises
