resources for recipes??

I'm going on 5 weeks of low carbing and running out of recipe ideas. Does anyone have any favorite websites, recipe books , blogs they use for recipe inspiration? Thanks in advance!

I second that motion. Some of the recipes I have fond are just repeats of the same thing. I would love some new ideas and sites if anyone knows of any.0

What I'm working on right now is to get some low carb blogs in my Google Reader, and then I can read new blog posts every day. As I find some recipes I like, I pin them to a "low-carb" board on my Pinterest.
I'm still looking for good blogs, but so far I like

I also read her book "How I gave up my low-fat diet and lost forty pounds" which I liked and had tons of good info, but no recipes. She has several recipe books that I'm considering getting, going to check first to see if my library has them. Her blog isn't great to pin to, since often there aren't any pics, so I have to use a traditional browser bookmark. I made a low-carb folder in my bookmark system first to make them easier to find,
I also have Atkins and South Beach in my diet book library, so will be pulling those out and looking through them. I made a yummy low carb Asian slaw last night!
Annie's Low Carb Asian Slaw
1 small head Napa Cabbage, about 5 cups, shredded
2 cups (5 ounces) broccoli slaw, without dressing if included
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
2 teaspoons Seasoned Rice Vinegar
1 teaspoon Siracha (Asian hot sauce, may sub other hot sauce)
2 teaspoons Dark Sesame Seed Oil
3 packets Splenda, or sweetener of choice
6 tablespoons Sliced Almonds
Mix together the shredded Napa cabbage and the broccoli slaw in a large bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayo, vinegar, Siracha, sesame oil, and Splenda. Taste and adjust sweetness or spicyness if you like. Pour dressing over salad in bowl and mix well. You can mix the almonds in, or sprinkle one tablespoon over the top of each serving.
Optional add-ins:
Ground ginger in the dressing
Chopped cilantro
Chopped green onions
Toasted Sesame Seeds
Makes 6 servings
Per Serving
Calories Carbs Protein Fat Fiber Sodium
Total: 1226 37 17 112 14 913
Per Serving: 204 6 3 19 2 152

OHHHHH I dont know if you have one in your area but I love love love LOVE going to Barnes and Noble and spending a few hours perusing the books there.. they have TONS of cook books on this very subject! Free to look and if you are interested, you purchase!0

It was my bible last time around on Atkins (2002-2003) before the Internet was so very chock-full of delicious LC recipes. I used it earlier this year to come up with an appetizer for a party. I also started going through it to mark recipes I know I'd like.
To be honest tho I haven't really used it in the 6 months I've been back on Atkins. But it's no slight against the book - I don't much of anything and when I do it's usually because I've been inspired by something online.
But you can't go wrong with Dana's books. I'd recommend this one, the 500 recipe one, because it's so utterly complete!0 -
I have the South Beach Diet Book and the South Beach Diet Cookbook - I really love the recipes and ideas. I use these recipes every day.
I'll definitely have to check out these sites, though. Yay for new recipes!0 -
Thanks for the input! I try to come up with a meal plan each week before heading to the grocery and this past week I was having a hard time.
I love pinterest, so I'll utilize that. I also read the Dana Carpenter book and was considering her books. Love the B&N idea because I can always use an excuse to go.
