Friendship with oneself is all-important because without it
one cannot be friends with anyone else in the world.
-- Eleanor Roosevelt --

"Who are you to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?"
~ Nelson Mandela ~
Confidence and self esteem comes from inside, not from your weight. When you realize you have worth, regardless of your weight, that you CAN control yourself, and that anyone that cannot see past your skin is an idiot - the whole perspective changes.
That being said, I think most of us have come to that point, where we are shocked at what we have allowed to happen to our body. The next step is to make a solid plan to address what our body deserves from us.
Good luck, you can do it!0 -
"Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail."
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~
"There is always another chance...This thing called 'failure' is not falling down, but staying down."
~ Mary Pickford ~
“Let go of your attachment to being right, and suddenly your mind is more open.
You're able to benefit from the unique viewpoints of others, without being crippled by your own judgment."

You Can Be Whatever You Want To Be!
by: Donna Levine
There is inside you
All of the potential
To be whatever you want to be;
All of the energy
To do whatever you want to do.
Imagine yourself as you would like to be,
Doing what you want to do,
And each day, take one step
Towards your dream.
And though at times it may seem too
difficult to continue,
Hold on to your dream.
One morning you will awake to find
That you are the person you dreamed of,
Doing what you wanted to do,
Simply because you had the courage
To believe in your potential
And to hold on to your dream.0 -
Never Too Late
It is never too late to live with richness, purpose, joy and love.
No matter how much time you feel you have wasted or lost,
It is never too late to make the very most of the moment you're in.
No matter how many mistakes you may think you have made,
It is never too late to start moving in a positive direction.
The instant you choose to fully live,
The past no longer has the power to hold you back.
Where you are now is precisely where you need to be.
With gratitude in your heart for the journey that has brought you here,
Choose now to make the most of where you are.
Starting from this place you can go in any direction.
It is never too late to choose the very best direction you can imagine.
Dig down and get in touch with the real substance of your most treasured
dreams.
For what matters most is always within your reach.
Move right on past the disappointments, the frustrations,
The regrets and the negative assumptions you have accumulated.
It is never too late to fully become the real, authentic, unique and
valuable person you are.
"When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be."
"Vitality shows in not only the ability to persist
but the ability to start over."

To laugh often and much; to appreciate beauty,
to find the best in others; to know even one life
has breathed easier because you lived.
This is to have succeeded.

The fact that I can plant a seed and it becomes a flower, share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another's, smile at someone and receive a smile in return, are to me continual spiritual exercises.

Reaching Your Dream Takes Courage
Courage is admitting that you’re afraid and facing that fear directly. It’s being strong enough to ask for help and humble enough to accept it.
Courage is standing up for what you believe in without worrying about the opinions of others. It’s following your own heart, living your own life, and settling for nothing less than the best for yourself.
Courage is daring to take a first step, a big leap, or a different path. It’s attempting to do something that no one has done before and all others thought impossible.
Courage is keeping heart in the face of disappointment and looking at defeat not as an end but as a new beginning. It’s believing that things will ultimately get better even as they get worse.
Courage is being responsible for your own actions and admitting your own mistakes without placing blame on others. It’s relying not on others for your success, but on your own skills and efforts.
Courage is refusing to quit even when you’re intimidated by impossibility. It’s choosing a goal, sticking with it, and finding solutions to the problems.
Courage is thinking big, aiming high, and shooting far. It’s taking a dream and doing anything, risking everything, and stopping at nothing to it make it a reality.
~ Caroline Kent ~

The thing is that courage is like a muscle. If you don’t use it, it withers away.

"If you find yourself in a negative situation with someone in your life,
take a few minutes each day to feel love within your heart for that person,
and then send it out into the Universe.
Just doing this one thing helps to remove any resentment, anger, or negativity towards that person.
Remember that feeling resentment, anger, or any negative emotion attracts it back to you.
Feeling love attracts love back to you. What you are feeling for another, you are bringing to you."

The opportunity to
become who we want
lies in this very
moment's behavior.
~ David Reynolds
If I had one gift that I could give you, my friend,
it would be the ability to see yourself
as others see you,
because only then would you know
how extremely special you are.
How different our lives are
when we really know what is important to us,
and keeping that picture in mind,
we manage ourselves each day
to be and to do
what really matters most.
-Stephen R. Covey

We must look for the opportunity in every difficulty instead of being
paralyzed at the thought of the difficulty in every opportunity.0 -
I am going to embrace this quote:
The power of one - one thought, one action, one solution.
goes very well with this one:
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.
Thomas A. Edison
