Yet another rest week question - preserving Lean Mass?

I''ve lost weight so far on my week off, but some of it is lean mass!! Is there a way to preserve it on my rest week?? Currently eating tonnes of protein!!

How do you know you've lost lean mass? Chances are you won't lose a significant amount of lean mass in one week if you're eating enough food. It may be possible that you never gained the muscle to begin with and the "loss" you are experiencing is the lack of water retention from your muscles from repair.0
