I'm totally happy with the idea I need to net over my BMR to stay healthy but the details still confused me so really sorry for being slow.

Today was workout day and I burned about 677 kcal in gym which took me under BMR so I ate a bit more.
2179 intotal which means Ive netted 1500 which is 150 over my BMR

My normal cut is 1850 and my TDEE 2160 my BMR is 1350

So my question is does this mean I'll not lose fat today cos I'm actually pretty much eating my TDEE?
I'm currently set on moderate activity but this week I'm off work so I'm working out a bit more in the gym but prob walking a bit less as I usually a fair bit ofwalking for work.

    Hello!

You will definitely lose fat. You are netting below your TDEE cut still. Your gross calories is not what really matters. Its what you net in the end. if your net is below your TDEE maintenance target, and above your BMR, you are losing weight :)

You can think of it this way: your TDEE is normally 2160. But since you got such a good burn in your TDEE for today would actually be a little higher. That's why it's ok to eat back some of those calories.

BMR is a constant as long as you stay the same age, height, weight.
TDEE is an AVERAGE based on what you entered as your activity level.
So TDEE -15% (or whatever your cut is) will AVERAGE out over the couse of a week.
