I spent 4 days in vegas this last week. Ate pretty primal - but am sure I blew the 20% on distilled beverages and fermented grape juice. Did have some amazing steak.
On our last day there - we were trying to find a good lunch place. My wife stumbled on "The Public House" in the Venetian.
They are a pub with 200 some beers and a Cicerone (Beer sommelier). While I didn't partake in the wheat style beverages - I did enjoy some nice Ice tea.
What made this place interesting is the first restaurant I have seen with Pork rinds made fresh right there every day. I must say, there is just something a bit wild about a restaurant that cooks their own pork rinds and makes them the recommended appie.
Add to that they also had Scotch Eggs (although I'm sure it was panko on the ouside), I still felt the need to order those protein bombs.
then for lunch - bunless Grassfed Burger.
What a cool place. Although it wasn't designed to be a paleo restaurant with all those beers and sandwiches - finding a restaurant with pork rinds, scotch eggs and grass fed burgers made me giddy.
Highly recommended if you are finding yourself in sin-city and looking for some primal fare.
