Logically I know I'm doing really good on weight. But I'm a little disappointed I gained 1.6 lbs this week, especially since I know that I'll probably have a pretty big gain with Thanksgiving this week. I can only hope some of it is water retention, but I'm pretty doubtful of that. I just would really like to stay under 25 lbs gained.0 -
Pre pregnancy 109lbs 5'1"
5 weeks 109 lbs
13 weeks 114lbs
Gained about 5-6lbs during my first trimester. Aiming to gain 35lbs. Gained 34lbs with baby #1.
14 weeks- 116lbs (+7)
16 weeks- 118lbs (+9)
17 weeks- 119lbs (+10lbs)
19 weeks- 119lbs (+10lbs)
No weight gain on my scale. My doctors scale says I gained 18lbs when I went in on Tuesday! I think I'll trust my scale since I've been using it since the beginning. At my doctors office, the scales vary on which room I use & time of day I go.
20 weeks- 120lbs (+11)
21weeks-121lbs (+12)
22 weeks- 122lbs (+13lbs)
I've been very stressed this week so I'm surprised that I didn't gain more! Going to the fair Sunday so next time I weigh in might be a doozy!
24 weeks- 127lbs (+18lbs)
Huge growth spurt + stress of packing for our new house. Need to focus on eating better! I've been shoving junk food down my throat for a few weeks now.
25 weeks- 128lbs (+19lbs)
27 weeks- 133lbs! (+24lbs)
Just got a stove & did some grocery shopping today. I'm ready to get back into a normal routine!
28 weeks- 133lbs (+24lbs)
At least I didn't gain!
30 weeks- 138lbs (+29lbs)
Been eating horribly & not logging & it shows. Holiday eating here I come!0 -
19 weeks today and jumped up over 2 pounds in 1 week! Starting weight 117 @ 5'4 and weigh 125 this morning I seriously weighed 123 two freaking days ago so I'm really upset. Sitting at 8 pound gain right now0
-
Just had my 22 week appointment. Here's the update:
9 weeks: 161
14 weeks: 159 (-2)
18 weeks: 161 (+2)
22: 166 ( +5-- )
So far up 5 lbs at basically 23 weeks. I've been slacking on logging and working out... should probably get back into it!0 -

I also had a gain of about 2 pounds in just a week... From your starting weight, I'd say 8 pounds is quite normal. I was 125 pre-pregnancy and my doc wants me to put on 25-35 pounds... I'm at a 8.4 pound gain so far. I also fin it hard to see the number on the scale but I figure as long as we're eating healthy and exercising a little, it's all good...
Also, the 2 pounds gain may also just be water retention or digestive issues! I was 134.4 two days ago but 133.4 this morning, I was bloated and (TMI) constipated! LOL0 -

Yeah, weeks 23-25 I saw my biggest gain. I think that's when the biggest growth spurts happen and that's why you see such big numbers.

Yeah. I'm trying to look at the bright side that with my other pregnancies I was up 30 lbs at this point. I still hate the 5 lbs overnight deal. Under normal circumstances I know you can't gain that much without a crazy amount of food but here it just hangs on. I like to pretend it is water weight that eventually I can pee out.

There is no possible way that it is 5lbs overnight of a proper gain. The baby is not growing at that rate nor is any part of its support system. A 5lbs fluctuation is definitely just that - a fluctuation. You may see your weight go back down a bit or stabilize for a while. Pay attention to your salt intake and ensure you're drinking a lot of water.

Anytime my weight has gone up more than a pound in pregnancy, it stays. That is how it has been over 3 pregnancies. Since my big weight gains usually have a plateau after, I think I gain the water weight and then I truly do gain the weight over then next 3-4 weeks.
I also think some is related to the food I eat. I feel really limited with my vegetables (carrots and peppers are the only ones I can eat cooked right now) and raw ones I can't stand once they've been at home for more than a 2 days because they taste off to me. We only grocery shop once a week. I find I'm eating more bread items. My calorie content isn't that different but my bread/cereal intake is. My first trimester all I wanted was meat!0 -

So last week I didn't post my weight because I was way up thanks to Thanksgiving, lol. I was really sad I had gone up so much. Then it came back down and I hovered around 173.6/173.8 all week. Yesterday I dropped down to 172.6 but I had pizza yesterday, so I'm sure the carbs and sodium are why I'm back up this morning. I'm wondering if it'll go back down tomorrow or later this week. Guess we'll see. Still, 18 1/2 lbs (ish) at 34 weeks makes me feel pretty good. If I gain 1 lbs/week for the next 6 weeks that'll put me right around the 25 lbs goal I set.0 -
21 weeks pregnant today with number 3 and weigh 126 this morning. Starting weight was 117 @ 5'4 so I've gained 9 pounds on the nose. Every time I go in to see my ob he keeps saying I'm a week later than I actually am so this morning he said I was 22 weeks. Whatever lol.0

I'm 16 weeks pregnant and have gained 12 pounds already. I never got back on track after my first baby, so my goal is not to gain much more during this pregnancy since I'm still not back to my healthy pre-pregnancy weight. The doctor hasn't mentioned anything, but I'm well aware that I'm overweight right now.
During my first pregnancy I walked at least 5 times a day for a minimum of 40 minutes and I had no issues with delivery and I recovered super quick. However I never got back into my old walking routine after I delivered. I lost most of the weight, but had another 14 pounds to go.
Hoping I can get on track now, and hope and pray for another easy breezy pregnancy! Since its getting pretty cold outside, and I have a habit of not paying attention to icy sidewalks, I started using my office building for my cardio workouts. I go up 7 flights of stairs and down 27. For now I'm taking the elevator back to the 20th floor, but once I get my stamina back I'm hoping to go all the way back up!!0 -
25.5 weeks pregnant - gained 13 pounds0
-
15 weeks today, gained 5 pounds so far.0
-
16 weeks (and two days ) and I've gained somewhere between 5 and 7lbs. I'm pretty thin so I'd like to be gaining more (I know, boo...) but my husband says to quit worrying. I guess we'll see what the midwife says on Friday
I'm pretty good about logging calories and since I'm set to gain 1/2lb a week I rarely go over. Working out... that's another sad pathetic story. Our golden retriever puppy is trying his best to help (by chewing up everything in sight and requiring long walks to poop him out), but I wish I could make it to the gym once in a while. Oh well... c'est la vie0 -
I have not gained any, and I am thankful for that. The Dr. said I really shouldn't gain too much anyway since I was overweight to begin with. With my son I gained 30 lbs so I am glad that I haven't gained any this time!0
-
37wks up about 36lbs. oh well0
