What are you planning on doing next? If you have run a 5K, what is your next goal?

Running a faster 5k? Training for a 10K (Bridge to 10K)?

I am really unsure. I ran my first 5K on Saturday. I think I want to decrease my 5K time to under 30 minutes and then start to train for a 10K. My BIG goal is a triathalon, but I need to learn how to swim corrrectly first.

What are your plans?

I did my first 5k last Saturday. Im doing another 5k in 3 weeks and then Ill be working towards a 10k and on my light running days work on my speed for 5ks!
  • Right now I'm working on improving my time. I'm just over a 10 minute mile. I'd like to get down to a 9.
I'm going to find a 5K this summer and run it.
My ultimate goal would be a 10K.

endurance, endurance, endurance is all that is important to me. i can do a 5k in 31 mins and have no real need to exceed that as the people who win the park runs do it in 15 minutes..no point in me going for speed. i want to run for as long and as far as possible. I finished c25k in Mid may and have run a 10k on 3 occasions since..but my longest run is 7.15 miles.

I have run a few 10K's as well since graduating C25K. I loved the program! I am currently trying hard to make it up a killer hill on my route here at home! It's elevation is about 170 feet within 0.7 mile. It's hard! I'm training with dumbbells and doing sprints up a shorter but steeper hill right now.

I'm not really a "grad" of C25K by any means... I was never a runner but I did have a strong fitness routine for about 4 years. I did the program for about 3 weeks and then realized that I could run about 10k.

The absolute BEST part about C25K (for me) is not increasing your running ability over time... It's building your SELF-CONFIDENCE. It's amazing that the program allows you to feel confident in your ability before really putting it to the test... Take a look at the number of people who complete the dreaded W5D3. Awesome!

I have my first race ever (5k) next Saturday and I'm psyched! I have run 10k a couple of times (not easily) so I may start doing 10k races when I have a few more 5ks under my belt.

I'm a huge believer in C25K; without it I don't think I would have had the courage to start running.

I'm going to run a 10k. There aren't that many events I can get to, so being able to run a 10k means I'll be able to go do them more often.

I've told myself that I won't go beyond 10k. I don't have the time to train for a half marathon, I don't see the point of it, and I don't want to $*** my pants when I run.
