Hi Everyone!
I was so pleased to find a C25k group here on MFP! I have completed the program once last summer....ran on my own for awhile using the interval training programs off of runners world, then got diagnosed with Plantar's Fasciitis and had to stop for awhile.
Needless to say, I gained all the weight I lost back...which is depressing. But, now that I've got the OK to start running again (slowly according to dr), I am going to go back through the C25k program. I love it!
I'm on w1d3 and have noticed a few things:
I have to run in the mornings. If I run in the evening, I am hobbled by my PF.
My average pace when I started it the first time was around 16 min mile. Now my pace so far has averaged around an 11 min mile.
I am no longer scared on whether or not I can do it...I know I can! :flowerforyou: :drinker: (so can you)
The first time I used NHS C25k with Laura (Love her)
Now I'm trying ChubbyJones podcasts (love her too)
I'm so happy to have a group of people I can share this with. I did share my experience on Facebook and now I have about 6/8 friends/acquaintances also running C25k.....it is contagious!
Good luck to all of you! I am so happy to be here!

Hi there! I am going on to W2D2 tomorrow- my first time through the program. Absolutely love it! I feel better if I do this in the morning as well. Usually get blah after eating all day! I have never run before in my life- I have fibromyalgia and have found that while I am slow, this doesn't seem to bother it or cause me flare ups like other exercise does.....for which I am very happy about!0
