I've only started trying to buy organic foods recently, since beginning my Primal journey, I don't know much about this. I plan to mostly purchase locally grown from my local farmers market over Organic food in the super market, so I am not going to obsess over those things. But for things that I don't buy at the farmer's market, I am concerned about....

I have noticed that many things are labeled "organic" or "certified organic" but are often by different organizations. For example, I've seen USDA organic certified, Organic Certified by Quality Assurance International, and various other foreign organizations that who knows what really constitutes "organic" to them.

Who do I believe and what does organic really mean to these organizations?

I'm not sure of the answer, but I'm curious too. I know not to fall for "natural" though! That doesn't mean much
