Upping to TDEE for metabolic reset gradually

I decided, mostly for my mental stability, not to jump up to my TDEE right away. It would be an extra 800 calories and I just don't want my brain to see that as an excuse to get back to old habits. Instead I'm going to focus on making those calories, gradually, good calories.

Anyone else have success resetting this way? Any tips for healthy eating while eating more?
