Week 1 fluctuations

I know its not abnormal to gain or maintain in the first 4-6 week period. Im at the end of week 1. After the first 3 days or so I was down 2.3 kilos (5 pounds) but over the last 3 days or so ive gained 1.2 kilos back (slowly every day for 4 days there has been a small gain) now ive done this before for several weeks and it went well...i was eating 2275 then and now due to my activity level im up at 2363 calories so im wondering if others have experience a significant loss initially then a gain....while i understand this works....i guess my main concern is it works better for people who are doing a lot of strength training (i dont....this week i did do a 30 minute PT session of weights and 2 body pump classes) but as for the last 3-4 years ive had a goal to be a runner and am now running 16.5km-20kms per week (over 2 days) I still wanna keep up with the running....im guessing this is just a case of being patient and waiting it out....but also want to make sure :)
