Accurately categorizing my activity level

I made a decision earlier in May when I joined and started doing the math to get mynumbers for MBR, TDEE, etc... Now it is summer and my activity level definitely increases. I didn't feel good about being an accurate judge of what my level is earlier, I sure don't now.
So, my typical day now starts with couch time with my boys in Bible Study, then housework while we figure out if we want to do the pool or the beach. While I'm there, I swim intentionally more (I want to accurately calculate my swim time) and I pointedly get at least 30 minutes, or more if we want.
It is a lot of walking with all the *stuff* for the beach, but also a lot of laying on my chair enjoying the serenity of the beach.
Since school is over for the summer, I definitely find myself not stuck inside at the table all day, but is it enough to move me out of hte lightly active category and change my numbers?
What I've been doing is keeping up with physical activity that I feel is "extended" or "more than" and making sure I net close to or just over my BMR.
So, do I advance from lightly active (one up from sedentary) or do I leave it where it is and track activity the way I descibed above?
I may have gained another pound (I'm going to put in all my measurements tomorrow, I'm just too tired tonight to do the neck, waist, and hips measurements). If my additional pound is still there in the morning, this will make a 5 pound gain from day one of EM2WL. I'm not discouraged so much as I want to doing it right...
Thanks for your input!

If your 30 minutes of swimming is like real cardio/training and you do it 6 times per week, I'd go up to 3-5 hours moderate. If it's playing in the water with the kids I would count that as 1-3 hours light exercise... if you're doing it at least 2 times a week.0

That's good! Actually, I am doing strokes in the water, not aggressive, but intentional - like the side stroke, back stroke, etc... I play in the water with them in addition to "my exercise" time
However, it definitely isn't 6 times a week, more like 3-4. So perhaps I should continue with the same numbers in the light category) and stay on top of my Net being just over my BMR.0
