Hello! and question

After reading so much support for stronglifts 5x5, I decided to try it as I'm coming off a several month break due to some minor injuries. Today was day 1 for me, and obviously it wasn't terribly strenuous, so I'm looking forward to adding a little weight in the coming days/weeks
I did have a question re: cardio. It's possible it's covered elsewhere, perhaps by mehdi even, but I find his writing a little thick when all I'm looking for is basic information sometimes. So here it is.
Before lifting, I'll warm up with 10 minutes of cardio on the elliptical, and after weights I spent 20 minutes or so walking on the treadmill (3.8 mph). On my off days, I'll like to do some swimming just because I find it easier for me to manage my calorie deficit if I workout some. Is this too much cardio? I don't want to detract from my strength training too much, but I'd like to be able to eat more too
