How do you count shoulder press weights in Stage 1?

Options
I'm on my fourth work-out and have a question about logging in weights. I tried to run a search to see if anyone had asked this before, but it's a hard search to do.

If you are using 12 lb dumbbell in each hand in the shoulder press, do you put down 12 lbs/15 reps or do you put 24 lbs/15 reps?

in my log i write down "12's" so i know its 2 dumbells and not 12lbs total

whatever way you use it should be easy for you to interpret.

I personally put the total weight. So if it's 20lb dumbbells, I put 40lbs. But, that's just on my personal log sheet. I also use a website to log all my workouts, and on there, it says to use the individual dumbbell number, so that's what I do there. As long as it's consistent and YOU know how much you lifted, that's what matters!

I record it as 12s or 20s as well.

    If I use dumbbells I log as e.g. 15 @ 2x12 so I know I was using two weights.

For me it's single DB weight, but you do whatever works for you.

Thanks, Everyone, for your responses. I like this method as it makes sense to me.
