Well I resigned today, after 4 yrs with my company and 9 years in the industry I put my letter of notice in. Haven't heard for the GM yet, will be quite the phone call I think lol. I've had to keep it a secret as I have been planning on this trip and knew I was leaving for like 9 months now! It's been so hard to not just throw it in at times and give the game away haha.

You know what it's like when you know you are leaving, it's hard to care as much as you should. So it feel amazing to have to not keep this a secret now from Facebook because of co workers on my friends list. .

My 7 week trip just keeps getting better and better, lots of cool stuff planned with awesome people! I finish work on 20th of July the day before my 29th birthday, august 4th I'm the best man at a wedding turn fly out on the 6th to Chicago! Never been so excited in my life!

Yeah Anna for sure. I'm hanging out in London for a few days before a tour, get in lunch time on the 21st, have no solid plans until a couple of my contiki friends get in around lunch on the 23/24th. Don't know what your mid week schedules are like but maybe catch up around then?

cool. My sister kind of did something like that. For the last year she has volunteerning for room and board around Europe. She worked in a bike shop in Scotland, watched a b&b in the south of France during the off season while the owners were on vacation, was a Nanny in England and worked on an organic farm in England as well.

That's great that you have the flexibility in your life to do such a trip. I suppose now is the time in your life to do it.

I have a mortgage that rivals the national debt, a demanding job, and way too many responsibilities. I can live vicariously through you, right. lol

Start in Chicago, early August, for 5 days, then head off to Canada, pretty much Toronto and surrounding areas by car for about a week, staying with a Canadian girl, she is competing in a tri while I there so that will be cool. Then we are both heading to NYC for 5 nights. Then I head over the to the UK and Europe for the rest of the trip, Germany, Switz, Austria, France, Italy, Belgium etc etc. then going to the moto gp ion misano Italy before coming home in late September

Haha you're stronger than me. When I know I'm leaving a job, I'm done. It doesn't matter at all how much logic you fling at me...if you piss me off, I'm like I DON'T NEED THIS, I'M GONE! hahaha.

I'm soooo jealous of your adventures to come! So exciting!!
