Congratulations to everyone who came out and completed today’s Fun Run as we prepare for September’s Mud Crusade, which is a 5K (3.1 mile) run with 14 obstacles. If you did today’s 2.5 mile full run, ladies completed 84 pushups, including 36 burpees, and the fellas knocked out 132 pushups including 60 burpees! If you’re not joining us on our Crusade, think of our training as a jump on the holiday season ☺. If you haven’t already registered, please do so and check the previous post for instructions.
Speaking of the previous post, here’s today’s PSA – If you are new to the Sweat Fiends, or even if you are a vet, take a moment to go back and review the posts from time to time as they have info to keep you motivated to reach your goals. And while we’re on that topic, I’m concerned that as a group we are falling short of our weight loss goals. Everyone is definitely getting stronger and is increasing their endurance, but at this point in our training, we should have more dramatic overall weight loss. What’s missing?
Your results are my best advertisement. Our idea to offer boot camp at such a low rate was predicated on the premise that we would make up the revenue difference in volume. We felt that once your co-workers/family members/neighbors/friends, etc. saw your incredible results, we’d be turning people away and that our early start time wouldn't matter. It should be a win-win. I need your commitment to get those results, which will lead to more people coming, and will allow us to keep costs down. At the end of the day, we need to commit to exercise 6 days/week and consistent good eating habits. Who’s with me!???
I am going to initiate a group weight loss challenge beginning next week Monday, running through September 15. We will do it as a group and there will be prizes for the top two greatest percent of weight loss. We will weigh in weekly every Monday, and we will only weigh in on my scale. Your actual weights will be kept confidential, but I will post the top three percent loss weekly as well as our group's lbs lost. I need people to join and I have a goal of the group losing 100 lbs collectively. Sounds crazy??? If we can’t reach this goal, we may have to raise the cost of boot camp in order to make it make sense for us to continue to hold the class. Time is money…Let’s get it!
Oh yeah, jump ropes and kettle bells for Friday!
