Hey gang,
I see a lot of PX90 and shred/ChaLEAN and New Rules people here, but nobody doing Tracy Anderson. I am thinking of incorporating a bit of the weight lifting as it just seems like the best thing. Anyone have any feedback on doing both?

I tried it. I got through a week and a half, just to the 2nd workout. BORED TO TEARS. I hated doing the workout and felt just blah the whole time. I like how I get to lift heavier and heavier on CLX, whereas Tracy doesn't want you to lift more than 3 lbs EVER. It might work for some, but I'm only gonna get results from a workout I feel like doing.

And she doesn't even tell you what to do. She just assumes you're watching, I guess.

There was definitely a bit of a learning curve with TA, but I really like it.

May I ask more about ChaLean--Do you just need one set of adjustable weights? I guess I should try it out, but switching programs involves spending some cash.

Of course you can ask more :-)

You will need more weights, but if you've been doing TA, then you can probably buy what I did: a set of adjustable weights from Target that go up to 12.5 lbs. The first month is two exercises at once. For example, you lunge, then do a fly, bring fly down, come out of the lunge. So even if you could go heavier on a lunge, you have to go as light as the fly - but you're holding the lunge, so you totally fatigue the muscle.

I paid $69 for them, but someone on another board said they are on sale for $50 right now. Criagslist is also a great idea.

For month two I upgraded to the adjustable up to 25 but for legs - since they are working on their own. I honestly should have just bought a set of 20 lbs weights instead. But eventually when my arms get stronger I'll (hopefully) be glad I have these.

In month 2 I'm up to 6.25 lbs on flys (really weak arms....), but all the way up to 12.5 on bicep curls. The strength has built quickly. I was doing 5's and 7's for everything at first.

And I am seeing fast results. My arms already have a shape and I am not even done with week 6! I never get bored of the workouts because there are three circuits, so one M, a different one W, a third on F. Then they change every month. There are two cardio workouts, but I haven't been doing them. I do turbo fire of go to a class instead.

In my life, I have never experienced results like these. My back pain is gone. I forgot I used to have back pain until today when it became my TOM (always get back cramps). And I feel more confident and my posture is better. Love. It.

A lot of people on here will tell you to buy your workout through a beachbody coach to make sure you get everything. That's great if you can afford it, but I bought it used for $60 because I'm unemployed. And All the dvd's are there. So I'm good.

I've been wanting to ask you about your profile picture for months, btw...

HA! yeah, my profile pic is of a mini celebrity from the Toddlers and Tiaras circuit. I am very well aware that I need to update it, but I am cautious as the internets make me nervous sometimes.

    thanks for that awesome input!
i am def. going to check it out.

I love ChaLean Extreme and have been incorporating Turbo fire as well.
