Better for beginners?

Just wondering if the nrol4w is better suited for beginners, or if experienced heavy lifters would benefit to. Anybody start the program already pretty fit? I just finished p90x2 and planned on doing nr, but now I'm worried that a few weeks of stage 1 will set me back...
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

My answer would be that since lifting heavy is subjective and personal to you, NROLFW should be suitable for all abilities. You'll probably find you can easily do the harder modifications in stage 1, and you might want to skip ahead. I can't give you an answer from a place of experience, I've lifted on and off for a few years but this is my first time doing it consistently in a while.

I believe it is better suited to beginners-- I was a bit impatient in Pase 1 as it's meant to gradually decrease reps and increase weight-- it's good for easing a person into heavy lifting. If you already do/did that you may want to consider Stronglifts program.

But NROL is as hard as you make it. If you follow the guideline of aiming to max out on your last rep, you'll get a good workout.

Have you lifted before? Are you familiar with the moves? If you are , you can always load up the bar and still do stage 1 or make it shorter. If you haven't, then follow the program so you learn the squat, deadlift and the rest.

Congrats on finishing P90X2, that's great. I've never seen the program, but I'm guessing that they don't do squats and deadlifts with barbells. If you've never done them before, then I would say you are a beginner in that respect. As long as you are pushing yourself with the weights, you'll be gaining strength, even if it seems too easy to start.
