All of a sudden...

I started EMTWL about a month ago. I went through the stages of gaining, the puff, the squish, the despair, and suddenly I am feeling stronger again. I am not lighter by any means-I gained about 4.5 lbs back, but though I had lost about 16 lbs at one point, I felt really soft. Today I noticed that I am actually feeling stronger and leaner again, yet not as "light" according to the scale.
It's a good feeling, and I know I need to incorporate lifting in my program.
Any tips out there from lifters or people who have incorporated weights? I can't join a gym, and have limited space at home. Thoughts? I am one of the few (it seems) who does the Tracy Anderson Continuity which I LOVE, and am not ready to leave just yet, but would like to add a bit more strength.

First thing I would recommend is to figure out what your goal is from lifting. Do you want to sculpt? Do you want to gain strength? Do you want explosive power like used for sprinting or other sports?
What you chose will determine the direction you go.
For bodybuilding workouts w/weights I would head toward Cathe and I think you'll find her easy to work with in the sense that you're familiar with working a program that's directed rather than where you have to feel your own way. It's nice to have structure and if you're not a rebellious ninny like me, then that structure will help guide you and keep you on a great path when you want to quit. I would check out Cathe's workouts- for examples of how well it works- look at Kiki and Lucia
If you're new to lifting heavy then I would recommend following a plan already set out- and stick with it! Give it three months and see how you feel about it (unless you are getting injured- that's a whole 'nother kettle of fish) and about your results. Pick a plan with meso cycles, rest weeks and one that is aimed at giving you the results you want.
Don't go to the grocery store when you're looking to buy a new car0 -
Thanks for the feedback! My goal is to increase tone and muscle mass so I burn more cals.-the primary goal is definitely for appearance. I don't want to be ripped, but I would like to be able to discern between my upper arm or my calf. A more defined shape would be nice.
I will check out Cathe soon.
Thanks again. So many people refer to NROLFW, and I just don't see myself doing it if it involves going to a gym.0 -

Wow, Miss Gemi, something else I hadn't considered, my Goal, you're not the only Ninny in this barn!
When you say "sculpt", I'm thinking of building muscle so that it "shows" and changes the shape of my body~for the BETTER, of course~ looking like KiKi and Lucia is the "carrot" I'm going to dangle in front of my face to keep me inspired!
So, am I thinking the right way? I start NROL4W on Monday and I thought that's what I'd get out of it.
I see Cathe being talked about all over the place~ can you do this in the gym?0
