Is this pretty close to what I should be following: at 294 lb, 109g protein, 20g carbs, 143g fat (4%C, 24%P, 71%F)? I realize I shouldn't obsess about exact numbers, but I would at least like to be in the ballpark. EDIT: 1800 calories a day.

That's almost what I aim for at 300lbs right now, though i'm often a bit under on calories unless its the weekend. I actually aim for a 65/30/5, but I am bad at getting in all that protein so I end up just about at your macros on most days. My carbs tend to be around 5-15g per day, and I rarely hit the 20g limit. I set my calorie limit to 2000, but aside from 1 day per weekend I usually end up at about 1200-1600 calories per day.

    Optimally, 5/30/65, at 1800 calories...

    1800 calories / 20 = 90 calories to make 5%
    90 calories / 4 calories per gram (carbohydrates) = 22.5g carbohydrates to make 5%
    90 calories / 4 calories per gram (protein) = 22.5 * 6 to make 30% = 135g protein
    90 calories / 9 calories per gram (fat) = 10g fat * 13 to make 65% = 130g fat

so, OPTIMALLY, you'd be at 22g carb, 135g protein, 130g fat. I don't see too much of a problem if you're not lifting weights if you're at the numbers you list. It's really tough to hit the same numbers every day, anyway. Usually, I'm high on protein and lower on fat, but I lift weights a lot so I don't stress it too much.
