Do you count the carbs?

I don't know WHY it has 7 carbs......

I don't drink very many but it's nice for a treat--don't laugh at me if this is a dumb question:)!

The carbohydrates in Zevia come from erythritol, which is extracted naturally from vegetables. The human body does not digest erythritol, but rather excretes it unchanged. The carbs never convert to energy, have no calories, and have no impact on glycemic index, blood sugar, or insulin levels.

Erythritol is a sugar alchohol. Carbs should always be calculated as below

Net Carbs (the ones you ACTUALLY care about) = Carbs - Fiber - Sugar Alcohols

So if you have a diet drink that is 7 carbs, but 7 of that is a sugar alcohol, your net carbs=0
