Anyone doing low carb?

Hi. Is anyone doing low carb while they run? I eat mainly vegetables, nuts, and protein. Feel free to check out my diary. I don't eat carbs, grains etc., which have a net carb over 5.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
P.s. I have hasimotos and hypothyroidism, so soy and carbs don't help me.

Wow your carbs are low. I eat few carbs (but more than you, about 50-100 per day). Mostly mine come from sweet potatoes or potatoes. I find when I switched to low carb, almost no grain, no soda, that my need for snacking went away. I still have the same energy though. How do you feel?0

I feel great. The only thing is that first 10 minutes of a run. It's really discouraging. Plus I think my time might be a little embarrassing for a race. I don't want to be last with my kids there.
I have energy through the whole day. My cycles was normal last time, my weight has plateaued the last three weeks. But really I feel motivated about this new lifestyle.
I just want to run faster. Maybe I should ask for the moon too :grumble:0 -
Wow, that IS a low carb diet. I try to keep mine below 120, but was just looking over my last several days and noticed I was over, especially on the weekend. I have type 1 diabetes, so it really helps me to keep the carbs down as well. I just started W2 today and felt fine. I'm really focused on keeping a slow pace, 11mm seems to be working, in order to toughen my knees and legs before I attempt a faster pace. I too am plateaued, Friday will be 4 weeks. Not sure I could implement your diet w/the family and budget we're on currently, but the way I lost my first 15 lbs was cutting carbs which cut insulin thus loosing weight.
Congratulations on your weight loss and I think if we hang in there the weight will eventually come off.0 -
I am - atkins actually - so between 20-25 grams net carbs in a day. I'm trying to get through Week 4 at present (its a killer - but less to do with my energy (have been doing atkins almost 4 months - my energy is great) and mostly to do with my brain saying "but its so haaarrrrd". (and my total lack of cardio fitness, but I'm working on it.)0
