Starting C25K...again

OK. So after doing well on C25K and on week 6, I decided to just run on my own (without using the app). I had a few good runs but now that the heat is here, I can't run any distance without feeling like I'm going to die. I'm starting over (not totally from the beginning but maybe week 4 or so) and finishing it this time. Really disappointed in myself for not sticking with it in the beginning and completing the program (because it was working). I'm a good example of why they say to not jump ahead and to stick to the plan. I had my first 5K this last weekend and due to all the walking I had to do (and granted, it was about 15 degrees warmer than the temps I'm used to running in) I finished in 45:14. Soooo not what I had in mind. So here's to a fresh start and doing it right this time! Happy running everyone and STICK TO THE PROGRAM! :happy:

Happy running to you too. And congrats for doing a race!
It's finally getting warmer here in my neck of the woods & I'm switching my runs to the morning to avoid the heat....love summers but heat kills me...:P
