It's the end of day two of this low carb diet. I haven't quite hit 20 net carbs yet. Earlier I felt lethargic and nauseous- now I feel a lot better (still not great though) and I'm having a HORRIBLE craving for sugar! Chocolate specifically.

Is there anything that I can eat instead? Please don't say meat or cheese or vegetables :(

I have a long night of studying ahead of me and I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to ruin two days of hard work when I'm only a few more days towards no cravings.

  • You could try sugar free pudding with the kind of whipped cream that is in the can. I don't think either have many carbs if any. Good luck with your studying.

Peanut or almond butter helps me with chocolate cravings.
I caved today and had a diet hot chocolate with whipped cream. I notice d it increased my cravings for more.
    Hope I helped!

    Sweet tooth busters:

-Whipped cream with sugar free cocoa & splenda- tastes like chocolate mousse (about 3 carbs)

-Sugar free jelly (or Jell-o in US?)

    - MIMs (see MIM thread) in chocolate (or berry, or lemon, or mocha, or raspberry.......)

Or, if you are in a pinch and can't get hold of the ingredients for he above- an Atkins chocolate bar. (Though these are processed so try not to eat too many!)

Check out the atkins endulge bars - 2-3 g of carbs and they're all chocolate.
    Otherwise, sugar-free jello.
Otherwise, stick to plan and the cravings really mostly go away altogether.
