Cardio interfering with Strength Training??

Ok, quick question (since I am not in the Gold Circle). I play basketball 1-3 times a week, usually on the same day I lift. Will this slow my progress down or limit my ceiling? Anyone else throw in some cardio throughout the week along with their StrongLifts workout?

I often run on my off days. Haven't had any issues, but I'm still pretty new to SL5x5 and the weights aren't high enough yet on the leg-centric exercises for me to have noticed a difference. I want to be well-rounded so I do plan to do other things as well as SL5x5.

I want in on this thread.

I have a crazy idea to mix the Hal Higdon (though I'm not training for something specific right now) with the SL5x5.
That will be 3 days running, 3 days lifting, plus one day off to rest/recover.

I have backed off on my distance because of the heat and I've been running at night so I just run my neighborhood instead of my desert trails. I have been doing right around 5k 2 or 3 nights a week lately and then 5x5 on MWF.

I do, though it's mostly limited to walking and nothing more than a very slow jog/fast walk. In the past, I've noticed some joint pain if I do more than that.
