Do you use a Recovery Drink?

Hey,
So Since alot of us are doing strength training and cardio etc 5+ days a week, I figured I would post about a recovery drink.. You maybe taking one that you bought already, but they are expensive so I figured I would share a cheaper alternative.
As I was starting p90x (which some are doing but this is for everyone) I noticed the big recovery drink hype, but there might be days you are dragging or have a long tough workout and you need a bit of something extra for possibly a quicker recovery.
Here is a link about why you may want to take a recovery drink instead of just a protein drink, maybe do a recovery drink after a more strenuous day or a new day of lifting or trying a new routine

This is where I found the recipe I currently use (the Gatorade one without creatine)
http://muscleathome.com/p90x-recovery-drink-alternative/
So basics of a recovery drink, you want to have a drink that is close to a 4:1 carb/protein ratio, I buy the gatorade at walmart it comes in the tub thing by the drink isle ( http://www.walmart.com/ip/Gatorade-Thirst-Quencher-Fruit-Punch-Instant-Mix-51-oz/10450689 ) and its about that price $8 something. There is a scoop in the container already when you open it, I use 2 of those scoops and then take your protein (25g a scoop of protein) and add half a scoop. Your close to your 4:1 right there, add water and enjoy the refreshing (yet sometimes strange depending on your flavors) recovery drink, and you want to drink this within an hour of your workout.
(No Idea if this was posted anywhere else in the general boards or anything or if anyone may find this useful)

Thanks for posting this. I've never used a recovery drink because of the cost but this sounds like a great alternative.0
