Bars and shakes?

For those of you who have completed Phase 1, what is your take on the Atkins bars/shakes including endulge bars? Should I or shouldn't I? I'm on day 2 of induction I lost 1 pound so far but I crave the sweet and the endulge bars and the vanilla shakes are yummy.
Your feedback would be appreciated

Hi,
I've tried the bars and shakes, they leave me with an upset stomach.... and worse sweet cravings than I had to start. Others have had great success with them, and I really tried to make them work for the convince factor and they taste good. Not worth it for me.

i don't lose when i eat them. they can be used in a pinch if NO OTHER food is available.
but even fast food is better. (burger, no bread, yum!)
stay away from all processed foods until you're on maint/close to your goal weight.
endulge bars are basically candy and DEFINITELY shouldn't be used until you're into OWL.
they're not worth it at all.0 -
Thank you for the response! I'll avoid during phase 1. :flowerforyou:0

This ^^^^^
I did 2 weeks of induction and used the protein bars with no stalls. I still do low carb and love the bars. The bars are only used for a snack or if I need something fast because mealtime is running late.0 -
I have been on Atkins for 3 weeks & I use the bars & shakes both. It seemed at first they stalled me & upset my stomach but I have lost 7 lbs so far. I typically eat a bar for breakfast & an endulge bar for a snack in the afternoon. I find that as long as I stay under 1300 calories & 20 grams of carbs I keep losing.0

you should be eating fresh foods, not relying on packaged frankenfoods.0

I completely agree, fresh is best. But unfortunately working full time with two small kids at home I don't always have the time.
I just thought the shakes would be a good alternative.0 -

Buy your own protein powder (whey protein or egg) added to coffee or half cream and half water and mix ! You don't have to worry about junk ingredients! I love the creamy chocolate! I of course add it to my coffee when I need a "snack" and make a great mocha! I could add ice and rrrrrrrrrrr it in the blender for my own frappachino!0
