I've been meaning to read this article for a long time but finally just got around to it.
http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/training/weight-training-for-fat-loss-part-1.html
The basic goal of a diet: losing fat while maintaining (or at least minimizing the loss of) muscle mass.
Basically it says that high-rep, low load training has benefits but it does not (when used alone) preserve muscle mass (for the most part, it might work for beginners). He says you can preserve muscle mass with 1/3 the training as it took to build it as long as the intensity is the same. And that you can combine the high-rep stuff with the low rep stuff if you want.
*Re-posting here because I'm bored.
