Repeating week 3?

Well, everything was going along well until W3D2, I fell while running and got some bad road rash. I kept on going though...finished the next 22 minutes of the run! But here I am at W4D1 and not sure I'm ready for what it calls for. Has anyone else had to repeat week 3? I'm thinking of doing this to be more "proficient" at the running 3 minutes before moving on to 5 minutes. But I also know there's something to be said for just biting the bullet.

You will be surprised at what your body can do! Someone gave the advice to add a little bit to each run each time and try to do more especially on the last one into the cool down on day 3. That will really give you the heads up if you are ready for the next week. I would push forward and really see what you can do and then decide about repeating week 4 rather than week 3.

Thanks, I saw this too late. :( I'm glad I repeated W3D1 though, because it was really rainy, and given the fall last week, I opted for a treadmill run. First time in my life (I started running 6 years ago but am not back at about square 3) I've run slower on the treadmill (even with the incline flat!) than I do outside. Which is encouraging for me. But frustrating too, because it was REALLY hard at first. The last leg was much easier, and I have been adding an extra minute or two of running onto my jogs at the end. I plan to go out for 30 minutes and try to allow a 3-4 minute cool down walk. So, between when C25K ends and when I actually get home, I get some extra minutes of jogging in. At that point, I usually do walk 1 jog 1 until I'm about 3 minutes from the house.

My last run of W3D3 yesterday I completed the run up to the warm down segment. Since I felt I could run farther, I restarted the c25k podcast that I use and ran the first half of the run again. It felt good and worked out since I finished close to my car (otherwise I would have walked this distance.) On to week 4!

Started week 4 today. It went well, but man, my breathing on the first 5 minutes was rough. Almost as if I was panicking-short, shallow breaths. I'm starting a formal training program run by Fleet Feet Sports so hopefully will get some help in the areas I struggle (speed and breathing).
