Hey guys!
So one of my Mini Schnauzers just was diagnosed with Schnauzer Syndrome. We all know what it is, but tell me how your Doctors decide to treat it.
My doc prescribed Oxydex shampoo every other day during bad breakouts and at least twice weekly for maintenance. Also, he prescribed EFAs daily and Cephalexin during bad breakouts. He also mentioned that some treatments include one dose of an antibiotic every other day indefinately as a preventative measure (not sure how I feel about this - opinions?)
Thanks guys! I'm thinking of asking to be referred to a derm, just wanted to see what was up with other hospitals.
