I put my info into the scooby calulator. With a 20% reduction with tdee it is saying 1507 but my bmr is 1570. Basic to mantain tdee is 1884... I do not exercise at all( back injury and do not walk alot)
Me female
age 28
Weight 174
Height 5"3 or 63 inches
little to no exercie mostly desk job
Help I read to not go under your bmr so why is this saying to

EM2WL recommends a 10% or 15% cut (10% if your close to goal )0

I'm far from goal so don't do 20%? I figured since I'm not active AT ALL that 20% would be better. So at 15% it is 1602?0

Yeah my BMR and TDEE - 15% are super close to each other which has me confused still but I just try to eat as close to BMR as I can.0

Yes I would eat 1602 and ensure if you do do any exercise you dont go under your BMR - good luck0

one more question, since I have seen multiple answers that go back and forth. Which calulator do you use, fat2fit( if so which one in it for bmr) or scooby?0

Personally i use scooby...and i think most do here0

This is the site that is recommended http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/
I ran your numbers on there and here is what I got for you:
BMR: 1570
No exercise(Sedentary)
TDEE: 1884
-15%Cut: 1602
Light Exercise(1-3hrs/wk)
TDEE: 2159
-15%Cut: 1835
Most people are at least lightly active unless you do not do much of anything other than sit most of the day so I would think that you would be at least lightly active or you can also use an average of the two numbers if you are in between those two levels - Which is what I had to do myself.
Also, it is recommended to do a cut of -15% not the 20%....This may be why it came up the same as your BMR. I would go with 1835cals/day to start and if you do gain at all then try it at the Sedentary number of 1602cals/day...Try this out and see if this helps you....
ETA: The average for you of the two activity levels would be at 1719cals/day which may be where you at...A little in between the two...Just play around with these numbers a little bit to find your goal....Don't worry you will get it...Best of luck to you!!0
