How?

The scale says I am over 150lbs! That is more than my MFP starting weight. :( Yet, my starting pants are still big on me... I'm not really sure how that happened. Not that I am complaining, I'm just confused.

How can I have gained around 10lbs from where I was, be above my starting weight, and still fit into smaller pants? Granted the pants I was comfy in are now tight and I definitely am not happy with that and my maid of honor dress does not fit as I expected, but according to the scale I should be back where I started and then some.

I know I should have stayed away from the scale as it is only my second week, but I was prepared to see a gain. However, now I'm just confused.

Edit: Also, since I didn't abuse my metabolism much previously, I didn't expect a 10lb gain. Maybe up to 5lbs, but certainly not 10!

Read the sticky "The Dreaded Scale", that should help explain it:wink:

    Thanks for the replies :)

I read the sticky and it was things I was aware of regarding water, etc. I was just confused as to how I put on supposed "water" without bloat. I should be a balloon! :P LOL

In the back of my mind, I always knew the scale was bogus. I was never a serial weigher. I only weighed myself MAYBE once every few weeks if that along my journey. However, it is still hard to let it go completely. :)

I'm hoping I won't get any bigger though because I'd like to keep fitting into the majority of my wardrobe >_< lol. Tight I can handle. I have a suspicion that most of the extra weight is from extreme levels of stress. I have the first part of my CPA exam coming up next Thursday.
