Calculating calories burnt during JM workouts

Hi there,
I want to be sure I am entering everything as correctly as I can. Thankfully, someone showed me that when entering my meals on My Fitness Pal, you can do a search for Jillian Michaels Body Revolution, and it has almost every food item listed there.
My question is when it comes to entering exercise. I have just been going into Cardiovascular and choosing Circuit Training which gives me 440 calories burnt in 30 minutes. Is anyone choosing something different? How do you enter your workouts?
Thanks and let's rock this out!!!!

Hey! I wear a heart rate monitor and then enter each workout manually. It's probably different for men, but in the first 2 weeks I've been averaging just over 200 calories burned per 30 minute workout. I think MFP overestimates calories burned, but I may be alone in that thinking. How's it going so far?0

I have a hrm and the calories burned for me were pretty close to the "Circuit training, general" on MFP. In some cases it underestimated my calorie burn.
I average 300-350 calories burned per workout.0 -
I have a heart rate monitor watch. But it estimates my workouts higher than the MFP calculator. (By about a 100 cal difference) So I'm not sure if my watch is wrong or the estimate is too low. So I've decided to 'meet in the middle'.
Though for today, I do tend to believe my HRM watch as I was "in the zone" for basically the entire workout.
But for Cardio, I select "high impact aerobics" and for the workouts, I believe I choose circuit training.0 -
Thanks for that! My first week didn't have the success I thought i would although i followed the diet/exercise plan EXACTLY! But you know what, i resolved in my head that 2 pounds lost is still pounds lost and its in the right direction!! The only thing i can think is that i worked out every morning on an empty stomach, does that mess with metabolism??
But week 2 is doing good, already see a difference in my form and pushing real hard! Hopefully this will be a good week, and even if i average 2 pounds a week i will be very happy at day 90!!0 -
Thanks everyone for your replies!0
