Why the huge difference between calcs?

So....like most everyone else here, I use Scooby to get my numbers.

So why are the numbers on this one so different?

If I used the numbers on this second one, my BMR would be lower and my TDEE (holy. crap.) is way higher. Why are they so different?
Just curious.....

Not sure, but I find the second one confusing.0

I agree. I don't like the health one. I am constantly getting up at work and then suddenly sitting for long periods of time. I don't time how often I am moving around.
The only plus I see is that the BMR for me was only different by 6.
I recommend scooby. A lot easier.0 -
The energy expenditure one tends to be much higher than others with the Tdee. I'm not sure exactly why that is, but I know that it is one that we usually tell people to be careful using. It can be accurate for some, but for most it's on the high side. Scooby tends to be the most accurate out there when compared to BMF or Fitbit, etc on an average basis.
All calculators are estimates to some degree. The main thing is to find one that is about average (like scooby) and then just go with those numbers. You can tweak as you go. After a while you'll find yourself, upping a 100 cals here or there, etc to find that magic number for you. The calculators just give you a place to start.0
