I may take a bit of a step back on this challenge for a while now I have been thinking of changing to a mainly weight based program and today is the day.I will still be doing cardio a couple of days a week (tues & thurs) but will not be reaching anything like the cals I have been doing.Hopefully with a days hiking to come and with the bits and pieces I will be doing I will still get the15000 but it won't be my main focus.0

Hi Folks, I think its official. With 5486 remaining and me off on the 28th (to the sun for a few weeks :-) I'd need to do 1000+ every day to hit the 15000 so it's time to call "time" on the July goal.
Interesting bit though, is that all that good work is still paying off. I actually lost 4 or 5 pounds last week having done NO exercise for a full 8 days.. Not just fluid either, because I've settled down at 15st 7lb-ish for the last 4 days (which is lower than my goal of 220 by 28/Jul). Clearly all that muscle I've built up has continued to burn cals for me while panned out on hospiatl trolleys/bed/couch.0 -

Seeing as how I didn't finish the July challenge, and August was a complete washout, Im going o aim for 15000 in September. Anyone else on for it? I'll start a new thread and see if it catches anyone's eye...0
