Well, finally got some new shoes! I ended up with Asics Gel- (not sure the number) not sure how i feel about them! I was hurting yesterday because i ran W4D3 in **walking shoes*** :embarassed: bad idea! I was in a lot of pain yesterday, so I went to the store, tried on the ones I had before and didn't like the feel of them....felt different than when I tried them before....don't know if its because I was hurting or what. Now this morning at 5am....it was already 77* with about 100% humidity! My rec center indoor track is NOT air conditioned! They have exhaust fans, but still.....anyhoo....i still hurt. My feet were a little sore after the run and my legs still hurt...not sure if its the shoes or if its still from trying to heal from Wednesday.....I guess I will try and figure it out over the weekend. I may try to run Sunday AM before church outside...(rec doesn't open early enough on Sunday's) or I may just wait till Monday. Not sure if I will take these back and talk to them and see about the Saucony's or what.....sigh......Either way- I STILL completed W5D1!!

Oh....forgot the best part.....the store was doing a "city night" which was MY city....(store is in another town) and I got them for 20% off!!!

Did you get fitted for them or no? It could be your body adjusting to the new shoes and things realigning themselves. Give it a day or so for everything to relax and then see how you feel.

Yayy for sale new shoes!! I agree, give them a bit longer. New shoes always have to be broken in :-)

Yep- was fitted for them. We shall see....I was SOOOOOO happy with the Saucony's when I tried them on a couple weeks ago....then yesterday they just didn't feel right....that's why I got the Asics.....I'll see how I feel throughout the day....

Ohh...LOVE my Sauconys!!! Not sure I'll go with anything else, but we'll see next time I get fitted. Until then...I have a love affair! :)

Indoor track sounds awesome. I feel for you on the heat and humidity. I used to live in FL and there is no way I would want to deal with that again. Are you able to get in earlier (besides Sundays) while it's still semi cool?

I hear about people getting fitted for shoes. I will have to do that for my next pair. Will have to find a store in my area that does that.

I don't want to do 2 days in a row. I have been going to the rec MWF and taking Sat and Sun off. But, the rec is closed this Wednesday....I am having dinner with a friend Tuesday night (going to Little Italy for REAL Italian- YUMMY!) and don't want to have to wake up early Wednesday morning! I have the day off and I want to try and sleep in a little for a change! So I thought if I went Sunday, Tues, Thursday....I could maybe get back to my MWF routine the following week.....

I found out about this store here from a running friend...she talks about it all the time. Glad I went!!
