TDEE - is the calculation accurate??

I've had a MIO Petite fitness watch and have been calculating my calories off of this watch. If I was burning what the watch says, I would be losing over a pound a week. I haven't lost anything in 5 weeks. I upped my calories 2 weeks ago to my BMR and then eat back my exercise calories and still - no change. My trainer thinks that I am probably not burning as many calories as the watch says so that is why I am maintaining my weight.

Any thoughts?

I'm not sure how accurate a HRM is for measuring daily activities outside of your workout. A device like a Body Bugg or Body Media Fit tends to be better for those kind of estimations. However, we have to remember this is not an exact science and no one device is going to give us that perfect number. All that being said, however, many people find that their TDEE according to a Body Bugg-type device is very similar to the Scooby numbers. I think you're very safe trusting those numbers!
