I thought this article was rather interesting. I was somewhat disturbed to find that I could not find any mention of the gathering of such information on either the Barnes & Noble or the Amazon web sites, or of a way to opt out. I think there could be some chilling effects as publishers and writers rely on such data to dictate what is available on the market; I'm sure that that is already true in many respects, but this just seems like it could lead to even greater pandering.

    Kinda creepy, to be completely honest. I wish there was an opt out button, but sounds like when you sign up for the service initially, you're giving your consent. Interesting.
