Great work today Sweat Fiends! Be sure to reach out to the rest of the group who you haven't seen in a while and encourage them to attend. I am encouraged by our progress in the Weight Loss Challenge, which I will post in a separate topic.
We won't have class on Wednesday, and will return on Friday. Be sure to take it easy on the food this week. There's ALWAYS a reason to overeat, especially during the summer (and really, in every season). Between cookouts, birthdays, holidays, weddings, parties, business meetings, traveling, lazy non-cooking days, etc., we are really set up to fail in our weight loss efforts. On top of that, we can easily trick ourselves into believing that since we work out more than most, we "deserve" the off days. While we should enjoy ourselves, and we do deserve to treat ourselves every now and then, don't fall into that trap!
Fitness is a habit at which you have to work. You have to "make it" a priority. The more you participate, the more you will want to participate. But as soon as you let off for a few days, it will be that much more difficult to get back on it. I don't want to get too spiritual, but I believe there's a force our there that does not want you to be healthy. That force is there to kill your spirit, steal your joy, and destroy your health! It is bigger than just working out. Your body is your temple and your health is the center of EVERYTHING. Without your health, you have no future, or at least your future will not be as fulfilling as it should be. YOUR HEALTH HAS TO BE A PRIORITY. And for my 30 and over crew, this especially applies to you. If you want to meet your goals, stay focused and don't cheat yourselves!
OK, I'm off of my soap box :-). Have a blessed 4th of July, be safe and we'll see you soon!
