Carbs and cardio

Hi all...
So I'm having issues with the 40/30/30 macro. Basically, I go way over on carbs daily, make protein pretty well, but am always under on fat. But- I don't do much strength training (I know, I know, I should, but I don't) and do 5-6 hours of strenuous cardio a week. Don't you need more carbs to do cardio....or is this something I've made up to rationalize all the carbs I eat??
Anyone know?

You just made that up to make you feel better:). Just kidding. Carbs are fast fuel, fat is slow fuel. They are both fuel though. From what I have read on here if you use your diary as a plan rather than a record you can adjust your intake so you hit your macros. I do it and usually at least get close to my macros. Others say focus on getting the protien and then fat and let the carbs fill in the rest.0
